Welcome!

Thanks for checking out Kate's Great Escape, my blog that helps friends and family keep up, comment and laugh along on my travels this summer. Inspired by the fun I had reading and posting to a friend's blog, FetalAttraction, this is my contribution to help you procrastinate at work or school for a few minutes a day! I hope to post daily or every other day, and to include photos whenever I find high-speed internet access. I leave from New York on May 23, so check back for updates from May 24 - September 10.

WOOO! My super stalker skills found you before the big announcement. Love it so far.
Cracked up by the MassTimes.org link. So you!

Oddly enough, everything on this page is in Dutch or Flemish or German or something. My weird internet issue. But... huh? In deze blog zijn anonieme reacties niet toegestaan. O Lady o' Languages, do you know what this means?
Gotta click 'Reactie Publiceren' now.

HA! I love that you found this first -- and that you seem to only have it in Dutch. Ummm, I'll work on that -- or perhaps you can pick up a new language this summer?

I'm happy to say that today I'm back to English. It was just my little travel around the world, I guess. :)

Been following along on your adventures. Never thought I'd blog. Sounds like you're having fun! Can't wait to see more pictures. Take some of the colorful flowers inside (saris) and out.

This is a great idea. I'm not working and learning at the same time, which means the latter cancels out the former. Keep blogging- helps us feel connected to you no matter where you are. I was going to foward on Monseignor Solomon's (the Indian priest who renewed my parents' vows and has visited them every summer since 1987) contact information in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh but Mom says he's been ill. I thought the slightly off center pictures were artistically taken, so don't sweat it. P.S. picked up the bridesmaids dresses and bridal gowns last Wednesday. (insert high pitched giggle)
